Partypoker and BWIN are two of the biggest names in the poker industry in Europe. PartyGaming and Bwin Interactive Entertainment plan to merge, this way becoming the largest gambling company.
PartyGaming was the largest poker room in the world before the UIGEA law was passed in 2006. Since then US players are not allowed to register on party poker.
What does this mean to the players?
It is not clear yet whether these poker rooms will keep their names or operate under a new name and we also don’t know if the party poker software or the ongame software will be used. For sure this means bigger competition for Fulltilt poker and pokerstars. and competition always means better quality and better promotions.
